We started our trip with Adam by hitting Jelenia Gora and their new playspot. We stayed at our Czadzik's place and had 2 really nice sessions at their homespot. On the monday morning we moved to Prague and when we arrived we've found out we were first ones here as trainings were supposed to start from tuesday.
There is alot of things missing after big flood that took place here but the place is starting to come out after it. We staying near normal camping place as the grass and building is being renewed there. We managed to find a gap in slalomers training and jumped into the hole. After the flood it's a bit different, there is flushy toungue and it's pretty irregular. Unfortunetly they werent able to clean it becouse closing gate is broken. But anyway it's pretty much like old Tlama and we really enjoyed our session here. From Tuesday people started to arrive and eddies are getting more and more crowded.
It's very hot and as forecast says it's going to be even hotter so we are mostly chilling in shadow, eating and cooking between sessions.
Unfortunetly today evening i have to go back to Cracow so i can attend entry exam for master degree at my uni.. It's pretty annoying to have it one day before event starts. Anyway i should be back at next day evening ready for training.
Stay in tune for next updates, competition start at Saturday! There will be alot of great paddlers around so great event ahead!
Didnt die yet! Thought 4 months without post is longest brake i had so far.
So many things happened in the mean time. I will try to make short summary.
I've been ultra busy with school - but got my BC degree now. Friday will be Eurocup day but at Thursday i have entry exam for master degree so two way trip from prague is waiting for me - just great.
I cant believe i skip in my post First event of Euro Cup where i took silver! Which apparently was great start of season for me.
Then i had to skip Plzen becouse of school again. (Studying and kayaking doesnt really like each other) and after this we were supposed to have Polish Championships, which got canceled becouse of really strange conditions, but well - we used the opportunity and moved from Jelenia Gora to Prague and took some training before Euro Cup as i predicted that i wont have anymore opportunities soon. That was really good choice as unfortunetly i was right and except some local course without spot trainings i didnt have possibility to train.
After taking lately my final exam i went to coach at Polish "Bialka River" course organised by Bystrze - Polish academic Club. We did organise freestyle part there which got really well adopted. Except it there was also classic course but also alot of safety, first aid, rescue and some other important staff linked with evening campfires made really great time. I was really impressed by qualitty and process of it and would love to put it in my calendar at upcoming years.
Now... I booked my flights to states yesterday. Im leaving 16th Aug and coming back straight after competition - plan was different tottaly but it ended up like this.
Im already packed and waiting for Adam to arrive so we can continue our trip to Prague to prepare for Euro Cup. Then i will go to Wildalpen to work and train there and after this take my flight to Vienna.
From now on i will try to keep it updated as i used to - each competition/weekend event , so stay in touch!
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
